The rollmarks on the "Colt" slide indicate a pre-Series '70 1911A1 model. If real, this could be quite rare. Have you checked this pistol, Mavs? To see if it is real?

Exactly Lancey. Danao guys can make very convincing copies of real 1911s due to the fact that they are very skilled with steel, unlike with modern plastics, ay este, polymers. Never heard yet of a plastic PALTIK!  Laughing

The pistol's refinish; mirror-like slide and satin, looks bogey to me  Confused

Mav's, have you checked the authenticity of this Colt pistol? You might ended up pushing for some bogus stuff. One-zero is right, our brothers in DC are very proficient in this type of FA's.  Smile

I'm just echoing my concern sir since this forum discouraged posting unverified items.  Wink

if it's steel. it's easy to manipulate... as my body repair men would say.. "sir basta sakto lang sa budget .. pwede himuon nato ni imong truck og submarino ! lol"

I think the poster should post more detailed pictures..... I can't really tell if it's a roll mark or engraved marking..

maybe a pic of the trigger guard too? detailes of the serrations.

@ Doc,  we can always bring the units at Kamagong for you to check!

We will have the masters judge on the authenticity of these pistols.  Smile  thanks for all the comments.

the grip is norinco. im sure of that.

Are 70 series commercial pistols made in Hartford U.S.A.? or only Military issue firearms?

this isn't military issue.
