OK Na, the 1911 real men have spoken and agreed to the stages suggested on glock vs 1911. So to refresh everybody on this friendly shooting match these are the stages for the test:
Stage one - Drop test _ suggested is a medium course (16 rds).
Stage two - water test - suggested is short course (9rds)
Stage 3 - assembly stage - suggested is medium to long course (16 - 32rds)
Stage 4 - sand test stage - suggested is medium course (16 rds)
Stage 5 - 200 rds stage as suggested by Masterblaster
If any pistol on both groups suffers 3 jams (aggregate) that group loses. Even if other members have shoot or not.
Suggestion is to have at least 5 shooters on each group. (5 real men VS 5 tupperware shooters)
Calling all glockers... let's finalize glock team. Kay murag daghan ra ba i shoot out vs .REAL MEN (kono)
If both pistols still survives without jams on these 5 stages then we go to extra mile.... you make the suggestion here.. OK BA
I have only one request that I will be paired with Lance on this shoot out. MY Glock 17 against His fabled 1911 (katong state of the art) but if he will chickened out on this, ok ra if lancey will use another real gun. OK let's get it on. Basta friendly match ra ni ha. Alegre gyud kaayo ni.
Wing, pls do the honors in making this happen. Thanks in Advance

my gun is a modified 1911. I made some compromises with it already. it might not pass mud or sand tests. I gave up the mud and sand test for accuracy . My reasoning is that in an urban environment I have a lesser chance of exposure to mud and sand.
match should be a stock 1911 vs a stock glock. otherwise.. how about we tighten up your glock ?

Masterblaster, thats how Lance and I became good friends...
I was invited by his friend to a private shoot last Dec.2008 he was there too. A really twisted idea actually...but SO MUCH FUN.
shooting 90 rounds per string...(about 3 stages). puno gud ang bulsa sa mags...It was a test for both shooter and gun... grabeh to ka lingaw.
di ba Lance baby?

haay.. yes.. very twisted. wherein... na apil ka twisted akong back.. resulting in almost 4 months of rest up till now when the weather is cold ... I can still the tightness of my lower back.. scary thought..
we were stuffing all our pockets with magazines lol... you can use any gun... pistol, rifle or shotgun. |

OMG!!! Lance actually spent 80,000 pesos in gunsmithing fees to make his 1911 LESS reliable?
You actually sacrificed RELIABILITY for ACCURACY??? Wow, just...WOW!
Ah, well, whatever floats your boat... |

tATA... biya? unsay biya? impossible! IM ALL THE WAY!
aaaah binuang sad nah imoha One zero dah... I did not spend 80,000 on gunsmithing fees!
mura sad ka wa ma swito sa 1911 dah. you know what i mean...
an original 1911 rattles like a baby rattle. this was for maximum tolerance to dirt and grime.
Mine does not. still reliable. but not as reliable as the original GI 1911.
It's still reliable. I don't get jams on my 1911... well that is if i forget to wipe my magazines after dropping them a couple of times.. or a bad batch of reloads. |
