AND SINCE THIS COMING SUNDAY IS VERY FITTING, THE FIRST OF AUGUST (Aug.1) we will do an advance announcement of the shoots to come in THE SHOOTING MONTH OF AUGUST 2010

Aug. 1 (Sunday)-- IPSC Clubshoot at Casey GunClub in Tambuli, 5-stages 110 rounds. IPSC fanboys will always look forward to Casey Shoot, home to many of Cebu's IPSC Champions

Augu. 8, IDPA Clubshoot at Kamagong Gun Club, with 3 stages Tactical Rifle Match.

Aug.8 (Sunday)- IPSC Clubshoot at Talisay Aqua GunClub

, note, since the other clubs will be promoting idpa only, other clubs will take their place in the IPSC SHOOTING CIRCUIT SCHEDULE.

Aug 15 (Sunday)- Level-1 PPSA Sanctioned Match for the 1ST MAYOR ED SELMA CUP, in the revitalized Front Sight Gun Club in Minglanilla. This is the first big match of the month and we look forward to shooting in Front Sight again which has been dormant for 2 years now.

Aug.15 (Sunday)- IDPA Clubshoot at N.S Gunclub

Aug. 22 (Sunday)- This is not sure yet, but I think this will be the Diehards Tournament again, stay tuned for
updates on this

Aug. 29 (Sunday) - IDPA Clubshoot at CPRA.

Out of Town Shoots:

There are two recommended Lakbay Tira possibilities, the first will be the LEVEL-2 IPSC Shoot in Cagayan De Oro, for the GOVERNOR CALINGASAN CUP at Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan De Oro, I think many of us will be joining this shoot.

The 2nd one is still at Cagayan De Oro, for the 1ST ETF MARKET (EDWIN T. FUENTES)MARKET Shootfest, it is also another Level-2 PPSA Sanctioned Match this time to be held at the NMPSA Firing Range in Limkitkai Compound in Cagayan, this shoot coincides with the Fiesta of Cagayan De Oro and again I might be going too.[u]

CDO Calingasan Cup is a PPSA Lev 2 Sanctioned Match to be held on the 8th and 9th of August (Venue: NMPSA Range, Camaman an, near Limketkai Mall, 20 mins ride from the airport) with 8 stages, 184 min rnds. i can send the COF for those interested shooters-just give ur mail ad.

Hi sir bric, do you have the COF of "1st ETF market" of CDO on 26th of August? It is a 10 stage level II with 240 rounds daw. very exciting lakbay tira...

ky there are shooters who prefer to shoot on one disciplline only as they think doing both is counter productive & un economical way of learning shooting Wink

Shooting for many of us is our SPORT & as such we enjoy more of it if we are learning & improving at the same time. It is difficult to achieve that if we mix these 2 different disciplines at same time! Simple example is our pstl draw: using IPSC holster now then IDPA holster later-will surely hurt draw time as a shooter will unlearn his already learned skill in the other discipline-maka fumble pa jud, he,he,he!

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

The above schedule will have minor changes, as the month of August will have 5 Sundays, so there is a possibility that N.S might have their shoot on August 22 for the IDPA and CPRA on the last Sunday Aug.29 for IDPA also.

Talisay might not hold a shoot on the 8th of August and will have their IPSC shoot on the 22nd of August as well.

DISCLAIMER:

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AGAINST A SIMULTANEOUS SHOOT BETWEEN CLUBS OFFERING DIFFERENT SHOOTING DISCIPLINE- on the reason, that the local shooting community might be divided and clubs hosting shoots would have to contend with few shooters, thereby, hosting shoots might not be economically viable for the clubs....HOWEVER, PROPONENTS OF EITHER DISCIPLINE HAS ARGUED THAT THEIR PATRON'S REQUESTED FOR THEIR CHOICE OF SHOOTING DISCIPLINE TO BE OFFERED AS OFTENED AS POSSIBLE.

SO, BASICALLY, THERE IS STILL THE SHOOTING CIRCUIT SCHEDULE FOLLOWED BY THE CLUBS, BUT, THE CIRCUIT NOW IS LIKE THIS- THERE IS AN IPSC MONTHLY SHOOTING CIRCUIT as well AS AN IDPA SHOOTING CIRCUIT . meaning, on most Sundays in Cebu...a shooter can choose which shooting discipline he wishes to shoot.

so mao ni gurls, there is a shoot for everybody...NA HALA!!

IF WE ARE GIVEN A CHOICE TO CHOOSE WHICH WE WANT? then we are truly Free... :o :? :x :P :oops:

nindot na sir Wing kay naa gyud tay activity every Sunday! unsa kaha kung i-alternate every other Sunday ang IDPA-IPSC shoots aron way overlapping unya daghan ug attendance. and annual na ang scheduling, di na monthly. example: shooting year 2011 first Sunday of January will be an IDPA club shoot then second Sunday will be an IPSC and so on and so forth. i-break lang ni nato nga pattern to give way to big shoots like the Regionals, Nationals or any other important events related to shooting within and outside Cebu. those are just my thoughts.
