Ayawg kalimti si Vic Jarina...who also stood as sponsor. Ang "chief of security" diay!
If anyone noticed the bass player sa banda...Mario Dignos, Kampilan man tingali. In the lobby, met Mike Basubas pud...Kampilan pud na.
How do you get them to shoot again?
Give them t-shirts that says;
"Im not Old...Just a Recycled Teenager! Load and make ready!"

ay sus, grabeh, I forgot Vic Jarina as one of the principal sponsors, almost didnt recognize him in a suit. Laughing  Laughing

sorry doc, I dont have the permission of the hosts concern to reveal who he is.

suffice to say...even though I am relatively new in competitive shooting...we became friends fast as we have been travelling together in already 6 out of town shoots....

Yup, they did mentioned that one of those in band was a shooter..Mike Basubas was attending the Chamber of Commerce meeting in the adjacent function room.

Upon my arrival at the church, a shooter's chauffer greeted me in the parking lot...and said..sir, daghana shooter sa sulod, hasta ang pari kay shooter pud....and true enough, from a distant view..the officiating priest did look like..............ROEL DIAGON Laughing  Laughing  Laughing

another oops, Rey Caliva and wife was there pud diay...rushing after a couple of bites to the airport to catch a flight.

funny, but the gun ban is really taking its toll on me.....I found the shooter's presence there..very refreshing.

I would not want to preempt it....but much as we are campaigning to bring old shooter's back, but soon one amongst us will be leaving Cebu for greener pastures.

I just hope he would have the time to come back in June for the myriad of shoots in cebu....

Hi sir one zero and Sir master chief, please inlighten me.. what is the good thing about glock compare to 1911? kay kung sa enemy pakita pasabot mas nindot sya sa 1911? how is it the acciracy or the capacity? tnx daan mga idol. Very Happy

This response is a bit late, kay wala ko ka kita sa query ni sis Emil. Ems, sorry kaayu ha. Wa gyud ko kakita... Embarassed

The basis of that saying"...Glocks are what you show to your enemies..." is because, right out of the box from the gun store, the Glock will WORK. Give it any quality ammo, and the Glock will FIRE. No ifs or buts about it, the Glock will work WITHOUT MODIFICATIONS AT ALL!.

1911s are nice, and good. But as any veteran owner of the 1911 will know, out of the box, the 1911 will not work ALL of the time. Most of the time, yes, but no t reliably all the time. That is why there is such a large cottage industry on replacement / accessory parts for the 1911.

Typical IPSC-playing buyer of a 1911: after purchase ( assume a stock Colt .45) , he will...

- add a magwell for faster reloads kuno

- replace the sights it came with, with something else

- add a beavertail grip safety

-replace the stock thumb safety with a "match" version

- add a guide rod

- replace stock trigger with a "match" trigger

- have it hard chromed...

- replace stock barrel with "match" barrel

And so on and so forth, all for "reliability" purposes KUNO.

As noted american gunsmith Larry Vickers has said, "the 1911 is the most ergonomic pistol ever designed, but is also the KING of FEEDWAY STOPPAGES. Faint praise indeed.

Don't get me wrong. I too love the 1911. In fact, I have more 1911s than Glocks. But I have to admit, if I had to chose a handgun to save my life with, it is the Glock that I would reach for.

Sorry for the OT mods. Just once.... Laughing

i would disagree. with so many manufacturers producing the 1911 design... it has moved from the original design! most of the hand guns today are not the original 1911 spec.

1911 spec was a loose handgun that rattled. in an attempt to tighten everything up and try to include all the modern upgrades... you end up with a gun that has a lot of stoppage. but if you have the original loose 1911 design. It would be reliable.
