Events to look forward to after the gunban

Wa na gyud, gunban na. By Monday, I dont know how active this forum will be, probably we will all become good chatmates on different topics, we will be partners in new endeavors, we will be compare's in different children Twisted Evil

anyway, here's some of the things to look forward to after the gunban (whenever it may be):

1. A very big I.D.P.A event that will bring the world's spotlight on Cebu again.
2. A very big I.P.S.C event that will bring the best of the Philippine Shooters to Cebu again
3. Another round of the Single Stack and Revolver Challenge
4. Another round of the ALL GLOCK CHALLENGE in IDPA and in IPSC
5. An ALL STEEL TOURNAMENT
6. An ALL 1911 COMMANDER SIZE TOURNAMENT IN IDPA
7. A level-2 three gun match
8. At least 3 level-2 matches
9. A revitalized range in South Cebu, Western Cebu and Northern Cebu
10. A regional Junior Leaque

Now, that's just the TOP TEN, and by the grace of God, He will continue to give us the resources and the strength to sustain our efforts for the betterment of the shooting community, we, the moderators of this forum will be back next season to see this thru.

so hold on to your single stack ladies, remember 2010 pa gani, in 2011-a very big shooting event will be held in commemoration of the 100 years of existence of the 1911.

further, a major sponsor will bankroll the 1911 commander tournament, I have contemplated on disposing mine after a dismal shoot during the I.D.P.A introduction last November at cpra, this tournament is making me rethink selling.

and of course, as a tribute to the 2nd most popular firearm of the century (next only to the 1911), the glock, a tournament will be held.

and in recognition of the infuse of fresh blood to this sport, a regional tourney for all Junior shooters is in the works too....

again, what I am talking about is just the appetizers, items 1 and 2 will surely bring PURE EXCITEMENT once it unfolds, and to those who have not tried their first ever tournament yet (ipsc or idpa), better try it this Saturday ladies.

yup, There was a level-1 sanctioned match at c.p.r.a last Sept.2008, the Mamang Pulis Single Stack and Revolver Challenge.. it was a big shooting event.

yes, a major gun store in Manila with branch in Cebu, has already sponsored this kind of tournament 3 years ago in Manila...for all Commander and Officer size 1911 in .45 caliber.

but we are getting ahead of the story...suffice it is to say....these are worth looking forward to after the gun ban.

should have been another thread, events to look forward to DURING THE GUN BAN..

1. Our IDPA officials in Cebu will bringing in the 2nd batch of S.O seminar on Feb.20-21, details will be posted later, suffice it is to say...to qualify to undergo the training..one must be a member of IDPA...pay the 60 dollars membership online and pay the 2,000 +- seminar fee... I dont know how a firearm will be available but I trust the creativity of our local IDPA officials to see this thru.

2. The local Pnp will be giving emphasis on IDPA training for the pnp officers EVEN during the gun ban, so that means, we can sneak in some of their practice shoots ...tuloy ang ligaya... Laughing

3. Some shooters are already processing their U.S visas for the big HOuston shoot in April 2010, we wish them all the luck to bring Cebu to the U.S .

4. Organizers of a VERY BIG IPSC and a VERY BIG IDPA match are taking advantage of this lull in shooting to finalize the set-up for the opening activities after the gun ban. abangan...

5. A new indoor range in the heart of Cebu City is in the works...this works fine for me, it is just a stones throw away from my residence..hope this gets finish fast.
